Step 1

Begin with preheating the oven to 200°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Step 2

In the TC bowl, combine 350g of flour, 30g of sugar, 85g of butter, and a pinch of salt.

Step 3

Mix the ingredients for 6 sec / speed 8.

Step 4

Next, add 180g of buttermilk to the mixture in the TC bowl.

Step 5

Mix the ingredients for 20 sec / speed 5, or until they are well combined.

Step 6

To form a dough, mix the ingredients for 40 sec / reverse speed 3.

Step 7

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Using your hands, bring the dough together and shape it into a rectangle that is approximately 1 inch deep.

Step 8

Cut the dough into approximately 8 pieces and transfer them to a baking tray. Place the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the scones turn golden brown.

Step 9

Once baked, transfer the scones to a wire rack and allow them to cool before serving. Alternatively, you can serve the scones warm for a delightful treat.
